On weekends I usually go straight from bed to the kitchen to warm water for tea then go back to bed with a pot of tea. If I didn't work, this is what I would do almost every day! On weekdays I usually have the first cup within an hour just before I leave for my commute with a great travel mug containing more tea.
Shincha this morning but I find myself craving Long Jing and hoping my order from TeaSpring arrives soon.

I think I have started TD's within 30 minutes of getting up for close to 10 years. This is a nice way to greet the TD, but I also notice that if I get up late like today, I have a caffeine withdrawl headache.
But anyway, I go to bed thinking about the morning tea, what to brew, what teaware, really anticipate/crave the first tea.
Began the TD with Houryoku shincha from Den's with Mrs. Chip. Due to the late start, most of the feline invaders of the TeaTable were already napping, so that was a welcome change.
I am working on figuring out the new O-Cha offering Sae Midori, 2nd attempt today. I am feeling a bit "green" as I stumbled in the brewing of this one again.

When I have the time, it's usually less than 20. Unfortunately, during the week I never have the time to brew and enjoy tea. So Mon-Fri my first cup of tea doesn't happen until I get to the office (and sometimes doesn't happen at all during the day). Ahh... the fleeting tea-filled weekends
Drank YM shincha today.
