Welcome everyone to the new TeaChat, well updated version anyway. Be prepared for minor glitches along the way.
Due to the installation of the new version last night, I was unable to do TeaDay. So today, TeaDay is a free for all.
So, I know, why not share what teas you are drinking today and then anything else you want to chat about that is happening today.
I am looking forward to sharing this TeaDay with everyone. Bottoms up, of course.

Free for all! Food fight.
I am getting toward the bottom of my bag of Takumi shincha and thinking it is a little thin this morning. How much leaf does it take for this stuff?
BBCode seems to be off, but it looks like I can attach a file, so (maybe) here is a photo of the green-tinted broth of yesterday's Li Shan:

Good morning new board!! We have the basics in place and can
work out the small stuff along the tea day!
I started my day with a new favorite: Japanese black from Yukki-Cha.
Have a nice day everyone!

Okay, I'll be the first complainer!
I have to scroll to see all of Sal's photo. Is that a glitch or just me?
Do I have to click something in order to see the style, color, smileys, etc.?
Irish Breakfast this morning. I think I need more tea to adjust to the new setup. :)

So this is why I couldn't access TeaChat for all of last night. It was quite frustrating trying to get to the site to find some hints while I made my first Matcha order from Yuuki-Cha. It also made me realize how important TeaChat is in my life.
Made my first order of Matcha. I got Yuuki Midori and most of the accessories from Yuuki-Cha, while I got a really nice Chawan from Rikyu, which I am in love with. I wonder how long my Chawan will take. It's shipping via EMS, and it's leaving this Friday. Since I live in California maybe I'll get to see it on Monday.
Sampled some of the organic Fukamushi from O-Cha. Need some non-organic tea as a sounding board so I can do a comparison. A nice tea though, IMO. Eager to start my Matcha journey, and will be scouring TeaChat for advice.

Re: Wednesday Teaday 7/22/09 Better late than never?
There will certainly be glitches along the way. Improvements and enhancements will certainly trickle in. Lots of font colors!!!
Administratively, I will have a lot to relearn, a lot!!! But there are a lot of admin enhancements that will ultimately enable me to do more, and do it more effectively.
I see a search icon that is out of place covering the Instant Messenger banner.
I do not see the advanced search. Also the poll is not visible from the home page, nor are members listed.
I would say, post under the announcements topic where Ilya will see the comments and problems, some of which I am sure he is aware of.
I am sure a few words of encouragement would be helpful too.

I think the picture size in now made uniform.
Looks like the code is turned off for now for smiley and colors. But in PM you can see we will have more colors, yay!

Post your feedback about the new forum by clicking here, hmmm, the link color is now blue!!!
Of course you can certainly discuss new forum issues here, but ultimately, if you want Ilya to see them, it would be best under Feedback.
I have color and smilies.

Nope, though I was a little curious about it. If only I had TeaChat at that moment, I might have....*sigh*

Am I the only person able to do colors, smilies, and quotes?

That's odd, there were on on the other topic I just replied to.
But I don't have access here.
Are you seeing the who's online button at the page bottom now?

Wow. I thought I was going crazy last night, trying to log on to the site. Very glad to see it back up. Iced Assam this morning. I'm eagerly awaiting my first order from Yuuki-cha today. Happy Tea Day to all.

For some reason I cn do colors, smilies, and quotes on other threads (which I just did) but for some reason not here. It says that BBCode is "Off" but when I turn it's turned on my Control Panel. I think today's Teaday is probably dedicated to figuring out kinks. Also, I'm not receiving email notifications when there are new posts.
