Monday TeaDay 8/24/09 Tea and Food?

by Chip » Aug 24th, '09, 01:10

Welcome everyone once again to TeaDay. Please stop in and share what is in your cup throughout the day.

Yesterday we discussed, "Are you a Matching TeaSet or an Eclectic TeaWare Ensemble kinda drinker?" You can still vote and discuss yesterday's topic.

Today's TeaPoll and discussion topic. Tea and food. Do you find when you are drinking tea, you crave LESS food? Please share.

I am looking forward to sharing this TeaDay with everyone. Bottoms up.

Tea drinking definitely reduces the amount of food I consume.

Even though tea curbs my appetite, some teas actually make me hungrier after a session...namely Dan Cong.

I suppose it's possible that drinking tea reduces my desire for food, but I've gotten in the steady habit of having tea with breakfast in the morning.

In any case, I'm finally back on the pu-train after a good month or two absence. Mmmm, and trying out a 1999 Menghai 7352 from Jing Tea. Ahhh puerh, how I've missed thee!

There should have been a choice that said "I WISH tea made me eat less!"

A very pleasant Darjeeling in my travel mug this morning.

Happy  Monday!

Tea definitely curbs my appetite, at least it does when I'm too busy to exercise.

I finished yesterday with Kaboku and started today with Adagio's Ali Shan.

I find it does curb my appetite. Whenever I'm getting the urge to eat for no good reason, I'll make a cup of tea instead.
Seems to work well for me.

It always curbs my appetite. That being said, my obesity hasn't ebbed in all this time...

This is one thing that I have not been thought about or been aware of. Although I have lost weight since I picked up my tea consumption due to not having all of those sugary drinks anymore.

However with me, I believe I do eat quite a bit less, so I would have to say it def does curb my appetite, so much so that I quite often forget to eat until very late afternoon/early eve.

Adagio's Ali Shan graces my cup this late am. Hope everyone is enjoying their TeaDay Monday. Have a TEArrific one!

Doesn't effect my eating at all.

Earl Grey... hot (watched Star Trek Next Gen this morning and couldn't resist).

No, definitely not. I often have tea with meals and snacks.

In my cup so far: generic Yunnan black. I won't miss this when it's gone, that's for sure.

This was my thought, I havent really noticed my appetite change much since drinking tea. I never noticed but now I will have to see. My fingers are crossed, hopefully I eat less because of tea :D

Finished up some bai mu dan leaf from last night and moving on to some organic sencha.
