When I was in Japan last year I noticed a lot of drinks that were "green tea" infused. They are all just jumping on the health fad about green tea. It's likely just an extract from green tea leaves that failed to make it into the whole leaves market (that coke can buy in large volumes cheap).
From the reviews I've read online, the green tea taste isn't even noticable, the coke and aspartame taste overwhelms it.
Just my observation.

And a question to coke... do they honestly think that any benefits of a green tea extract will outway the harms of aspartame?

If there putting it in soda or coke then it must be low quality. Something good might unbalance the other "Ingredience" they already use.

Probably tea dust, maybe fannings from anything they get cheapest.

I have to say though its a smart move by coke. I wonder if this will increase the amount of caffeine in coke :D
