No but it took me a while to try matcha. At the time I thought it was difficult to brew it right but as long as you have good quality matcha it is actually very easy.

Maybe? I've been able to try a pretty wide variety of teas at this point, it's been wonderful. I suppose that if I were to pick something daunting, it would be really expensive teas. And by that, I mean the 50s Red Mark pu'erh sort of thing, where it's $350 for 10g.... maybe daunting's not the right word? How about intimidating? 
Not so intimidating is this American Hao 0905. I'm on day 3 of it, though that's mostly because I usually get a maximum of 3 sessions per day while at home. Hmmmm.

no definatly not, I would like to try new teas but don't really have an interest in lessons or techniques. The main thing that limits me and im sure everyone else is cost so I want to take my time with tea and learn a little more each year.

Not sure about the daunted part but I'd like to learn more about pu erhs, dan cong and Japanese black.
Some oolongs are on their way to me today. Until they arrive, maybe some sencha.

There have been quite a few things I have wanted to learn more about, but so far I have pretty much gotten up to my neck in each of them at least for a while.
Korean Tea, especially Dok Cha, would be nice to learn about, but reliable sources of good tea seem to be lacking.
Boywoodhe, puerh is enough of a mine field that even the people who drink it regularly disagree about what is good and how to begin, so you can't go wrong! To make matters worse, price is not a very reliable indicator of puerh quality.

Trying to decipher the World of Pu appears to be a daunting task. Never have I seen so many teas, so many opinions and so much confusion about source, authenticity, storage issues (before and after purchase).
Chinese, Japanese, Korean and new Indian green teas are on my list of mostly affordable teas to explore.
Some of the less common Chinese Blacks and Indian/Nepalese oolongs still await, as do many white teas.
So many teas, so little time!

Without a second thought, Pu-erh of all kinds. I need lots of help and seem to refuse it at the same time. I think I just need a Pu-erh manager to handle this one, from research to buying.
Began the TD with O-Cha's Yutaka Midori. Always incredible, SweeTea seconds that while Wulong and Gandalf abstained.

Matcha is next on my list of teas to try, but daunting isn't the right word. I'm almost 50% over my tea budget for the year, which was liberal to begin with, so I won't start with matcha until sometime next spring.

It's not a good character, but I always give up upon daunting task
I always think I should learn more about puerh but currently I am not so attracted about puerh. But from time to time, I think, maybe I should stock up some sheng puerh anyway so that if later in my life, I gain great interest in pu, I will have something to drink

I would have to agree with most of the above, and say pu'erh. But for me though, it's more that I'm focusing most of my time/energy/devotion on other teas (mostly Oolong) that pu'erh is just something I haven't thought about yet.
Dan Cong is another one...it's hard to nail down the right aroma/flavor. I tried some of Imen's Li Jai Ping Lao Cong from Imen, which I tried when I visited, and what I brewed is a far cry from what she brewed

Definitely, I've wanted to try/learn about a larger variety of Chinese greens. Maybe learn a little about white teas too, I haven't had many of these either.

Luckily there are some pretty knowledgeable, experienced, kind, and patient people on TeaChat lol They make pu much more approachable and enjoyable.

I would like to learn more about preparing Matcha, and Gong Fu brewing. Without a human example, it's hard for me to "get it."
Of course, there are thousands of different teas to learn about - I'll probably never stop trying to expand my knowledge in that department.
