Good TeaDay everyone. Please drop in and share what is in your cup throughout the day.
Yesterday we discussed whether or not we drank more or less tea. You can still vote and discuss yesterday's topic.
Today's TeaPoll and discussion topic. A pressing question, did you receive any Tea related gifts this holiday season? Or perhaps you gave yourself TeaGift(s)? Please share some details!!!
I am looking forward to sharing this TeaDay with everyone. Bottoms up.

I have recently bought a houhin (yes another one) with two matching yunomi and a yusamashi which are now on their way somewhere between Japan and France and two little Bodum (3oz) Canteen glasses.
Kaboku sencha this morning.

Just got one bag of 'organic dried fruit tea' for christmas. Not any actual tea, but what the hell, I like it too.
Next week I'm finally gonna go and buy myself some new tea!

Though I was not expecting anything tea related, as I asked for most kitchen related items, I ended up with a new glass iced tea pitcher, a set of four teapot shaped cast iron trivets, and a large bag of blood orange rooibos from the New Mexico Tea Company. I am still trying to figure out how my aunt and uncle figured out the rooibos as an excellent gift, but I am thrilled to have a new bag of it since I am almost out of my current stash.
Currently in my cup: a Castleton Second Flush Darjeeling.

ALthough,I didn't receive any tea related gifts mostly because it would be hard for someone to pick something out for me since I have so much. However, I did get a lot of stuff related things for those who are starting out in the world of loose leaf teas. Everyone loved it.

No tea gifts. But my wife did get me a home brewing kit!!

No actual tea gifts but I did get some money which I'm probably going to buy some tea with...does that count?

My wife gave me a simple 200ml Banko kyusu from Masaki Tachi. It's amazing how it smooths the flavor of Japanese green tea.
Hou de Ban Tian Yao for breakfast. Maybe some dancong mid-afternoon.

In the back out of focus you can see one of the Three Washi tins I got for Christmas. I also got a Teavana gift card, Teavana Yixing, and Chasen and the Teavana Glass Matcha bowl.
I asked for the Chasen and Washi Tins... the rest were sorta gifts, but my family knowing little about tea only really know about Teavna. No problem though everything will get used. Anyone know how Teavana's Matcha is, or their Gyokuro, so I know what I could get with the gift card?
Started the Teaday with the tea pictured a Kagoshima Bancha.

I didn't give or get any tea gifts this year. I was going to get my daughter a teapot, but never got around to it!
Three Brothers (Keemun, Peppermint, Rosehips) in my cup this morning.

Nice shot, I love that wan! Seeker said the matcha is terrible. I would stick with teaware, they have some nice stuff.
Nope - no tea gifts - My family knows better. I did get an Amex gift card, which may lend itself to tea or teaware, we'll see. Tea-wise I didn't buy myself anything extravagant for Christmas, but there are a couple of Hagi cups on the way from Japan.
Mariage Freres Saphir to start the day this morning.

Yep, my SIL got me a nice infuser mug with a lid from Harry and David. I had put a request for such a mug on the lists we exchanged and she found a very nice one. I intend to use it at work, but I am breaking it in right now with some dancong aria from our hosts.
I did buy my tea buddy at work 5 samples from adagio and a new snowman mug. That was about all the tea related Christmas buying that I've done so far. I do need to order some tea, so I'll probably say that is "Merry Christmas to me".
Another cold grey day here...and nothing that we have to "go do", so tea will be greatly enjoyed all day long!
Enjoy,

I bought myself six Yixings from Sensational Teas.
And, for whatever reason that I don't know, my in-laws got me a pound of rooibos (I'm not a big red bush drinker, but I guess I'd best start), a case of Bengal Spice from Celestial Seasoning, and a smattering of various other herbals and strange bagged teas, totally about another pound of infusions I've never tried.
They don't even like tea, and clearly they're trying quite hard to understand the beverage enough to successfully buy me some.

Thanks for coloring TD, Adam.
Well, nothing under the Christmas tree, but a spectacular Cory Lum Chawan has my name on it from DW. All the Hagi in the last month would have to fall into the gift category. Looking at some teas and Hagi with TeaBucks!
Began the TeaDay with Den's Shin-ryoku and later Hankook Oolong with DW. Currently Yutaka Midori from O-Cha! Great TeaDay!
