Welcome one and all to TeaDay...pour a pot and come share what is in your cup today...all day. So share whenever you can...inquiring TeaMinds wanna know! While you are here, be sure to check out what everyone else is sipping this Monday.
Yesterday we shared musical teapots ... sort of. You can still vote and discuss yesterday's topic.
Today's TeaPoll goes back to new harvests ... there has been a rapid increase in discussion of new harvest teas here on the forum. So, what have you been up to...seriously looking, buying, preordering, casually looking...not giving a hoot. Where do you stand TODAY on the subject of new harvest tea?
I am looking forward to hearing everyone's responses...and have a great TeaDay everyone!!!

Re: Monday TeaDay 5/17/10 Really, is it new harvest?
When I voted I was thinking OOLONG, which I have ordered, they should be here any day! But I forgot I already do have 2010 Darjeeling in the house.
This evening I ordered another 2010 oolong and some fall 2009 too. Even though I said I wasn't going to order any more '09, this looked too good to pass up.
I still am watching for 2010 oolongs from several other vendors to appear on their sites.

I have the 2010 Hashiri Shincha from Den's but haven't bothered trying it, as everyone made it sound as if it is not something I would like in a green. Haven't found one yet that I really do like.
I also have some 2010 Darjeeling.
I'll be trying some of the Darjeeling today.

Don't even pay attention to it now...Have so much stuff unused in the tea cabinet, that my mind is on it and not adding to it.
Enjoyed a small pot of a Pear flavored white tea and a pot of Harney's Cinnamon Spice yesterday with the family. The kids loved them both.

Yeah, I haven't even thought about the 2010 harvest... Currently I'm looking for some aged wulongs and haven't bought a green for a while.
Today I'm gonna get my first taste of 1981(&-82) Dong Ding from essenceoftea.com .

Regardless, I'm not focused on new harvest, at least not for now. Later in the year once I drink down some of the teas I've bought recently, I might. Maybe some fall oolongs. Right now I seriously think I have enough tea to last me through August, so no more tea purchases for me in the near future!
Nothing yet, going to pack up some snowbud for consumption at work if I have enough time.

I'm pondering like crazy. No purchase yet, though.

Looking but no moves yet.
According to a friend in Japan... the harvest is a bit late in some parts.

Sipping the O-Cha Sae Midori shincha this morning, I'm really enjoying this tea. The Yutaka Midori is still chilling in the fridge, I want to get through a bit more of the SM before opening another package. And two from Yuuki-Cha are on order, expecting to see those in a few weeks!
Re: Monday TeaDay 5/17/10 Really, is it new harvest?
I didn't get excited about harvests because I have tons of tea (oolongs) and I'm not a fanatical green tree drinker ... but I may still try to get some good ones. I'm trying samples now. I know some who are bragging about their good finds despite the weather so I will look into those sources!
Haven't had any tea yet. Maybe I will try another sample today ...

I haven't been shopping for any new harvest tea because I have so much tea to work through already. (Despite this, I am going to Chinatown today and will most likely return bearing tea...
)
Rose congou right now, no idea what else the day will bring. Probably some matcha or genmaicha with dinner if my father and I get sushi.

Yes, I already finished one bag of 2010 Yunnan black and have yet to open my second. Also have 2010 Yunnan silver needles open and a couple 2010 Anxi oolongs; Huang Jin Gui is one but I forget the other.
