Welcome everyong to TeaDay, please share what is in your cups today, all day.
Yesterday we discussed personal TeaChat blunders. You can still vote and discuss yesterday's topic.
Today's TeaPoll an discussion topic. HOT HOT HOT. Summer is sizzling! Are you drinking any other liquid by volume more than you are currently drinking TEA? Bonus ... are you gulping more iced tea currently??
I am most assuredly looking forward to sharing TeaDay with everyone! Bottoms up, refill, repeat ...

Yes - water.
Used to gulp down the iced tea, but lately (since the gall bladder thing, the sustained weigt loss, and dietary changes) iced tea added to the day ends up having a negative effect, a dehydrating effect. This is probably because it ends up taking the place of water.
I may experiment and see about re-introducing it in controlled quantities.
Drinking a wonderful puerh - Yunnan Golden Cube.
Very yummy.

Still drinking more tea than anything else, but I drink a lot of tea during the day. I have been drinking a lot of the flavored Sobe water, though. No more iced tea than usual, as I'm partial to the bottled Arizona stuff (embarrassed as I am to admit this), and the stores near me are always out of it. >.<

More water and milk than tea, but it has nothing to do with the weather. I am hardly ever outside and I drink iced tea only if it is absolutely the ONLY beverage available.

No tea yet this morning.

I drink iced tea year-round, but with the hot weather tend to drink a bit more of it. I still love the hot cup-ful in the morning and evening, but in between, it's too hot. I also tend to make the hot cup and either forget about it or get distracted and end up drinking it when it's very cool.

I have not had iced tea this Summer ... maybe not even this year. 88* at 10 am today! That is crazy ... iced tea sounds pretty good. I am thinking some cold brewing might be in order.
Began the TD with HOT tea, Japanese, Shincha, a tasting of 88 Nights from Maeda-en. SweeTea did not complain about the hot tea ... Pyrit and Koi just stopped by the TeaTable today.

A lot more plain water, less tea, although still tea several times a day. Drinking less tea at home, where I have no A/C, and more at work. But still, having drunk some of my favorite teas as they cool to room temperature, hard to imagine they'll be appealing when they're actually chilled.
Starting the day with Sakayamakaori Sencha from Yuuki-Cha, part of my trouble-free but only order from them, and a pot of Big Red Robe awaits for the long afternoon at work.

Still more tea than any other liquid for me. A bit more iced tea, but just a couple glasses of iced sencha on the weekend. Yesterday I was sitting outside, about 85 degrees, sipping a good hot cup of tea
Drinking some hot Ali Shan right now.

I´m drinking about the same ammount of hot tea...but more water. Also no iced tea yet...I don´t make it often because brewing it takes quite a bit longer than hot tea and uses more leaf and tends to hide some of the flavour and aroma.

Water is first, then tea (no ice tea for me).

I still drink way more hot tea than any other liquid. However, my iced tea consumption has definitely gone up recently. My "liquid distribution"
probably goes like this:
Hot tea
Milk
Iced tea
Water
I actually rarely drink plain water.
This morning I sampled some '09 Ma Hei shengpu from Yi Wu. This was probably the most aromatic pu'er I've ever tasted. However, it seemed to lack in many other flavors, including harshness (which I believe young sheng needs). So although it was enjoyable, for $40/cake, I won't be buying more.
Here's a shot of the Ma Hei on my 85F porch!

Re: Monday TeaDay 6/28/10 HOT HOT HOT ...
I really like drinking water and I drink coffee and sometimes wine or even a glass of good whiskey with friends.
But since I am morphing into a real tea drinker I consume a lot of tea.
I don't like iced tea - never buy one - perhaps I try making one by myself.
TD started with my Uji Organic Matcha - it will be emptied fast I think
- tastes so delicious. With meal I had a bancha and now I am drinking rooibos.
Will try my sample of Houjicha Gold from Den's next.

It hasn't really been hot here yet. I haven't had any iced tea, but I do plan on keeping some made this summer. Water is the only other that I consume as much of. Might be a tie. Probably more tea than water.

If I drink more tea than I drink water, I would be severely over-caffeinated.
My favorite iced "tea" is to mix hot brewed mate 1/2-1/2 with cold fruit juice such as peach, mango and/or grape. Many companies sell RTD drinks of a similar style; they usually load it with sugar though.
