To me it depends on what tea I am making and also what mood am I in. Sometimes I prefer to see the colour of my tea, so I go for glass/porcelain. Sometimes I feel like drinking slightly altered tea therefore I will use zisha.

Ultimately, I would prefer
5. Artist/Designer/Expensive Teapot
It just gives the kick

A variety.

Glass, porcelain, ceramic, and thought not preferred, inevitably some plastic finds some way into my brewing.

Personally, I prefer Zisha, but I do occasionally use porcelain teapots.

Until I am able to expand my collection, it is either a porcelain tea pot or gaiwan, or a little glass pot.

I guess I'm stuck in a rut. It's not that don't have lots of Tea Pots. (10 -12)

But, I keep this on the stove all the time, around the clock. I have three Tetsubins, small, medium and large but they have the enamel lining and don't belong on a stove. :D

I prefer Tokoname clay, but I use all of the ones on your list depending on the tea or my mood.

nonc_ron - you need to up-scale a bit, I think. Or are you just boiling water in that?
