Good news, yesterday's study was WRONG. The new and correct study concludes that your tea is THE tea, the elixer of long life and a panacea, but you must drink 2X as much. Is this doable?

Friday TeaDay 8/27/10 A better miracle!

by Chip » Aug 27th, '10, 01:11

Happy TeaDay everyone. Please drop in and share what is in your cup throughout the day.

Yesterday we discussed what if you had to switch tea. You can still vote and discuss yesterday's topic.

Today's TeaPoll and discussion topic. Good news, yesterday's study was WRONG. The new and correct study concludes that your tea is THE tea, the elixer of long life and a panacea, but you must drink 2X as much. Is this doable?

I am looking forward to sharing the Teaday with everyone. Bottoms up.

Hmm, I already drink so much tea... but sure, I will if I must.

More SN today.

Absolutely.

In fact I am now drinking tea in smaller quantities: my typical steep size went from 250ml to 90ml within the past two years, so it wouldn't be very challenging for me to double my tea consumption.

Keemun this morning.

Yeah-- the only thing I'd be worried about would be actually buying twice as much tea.

No tea yet this morning... I'm travelling and moving in to my dorm all day today, so I probably won't be able to have any tea until late this afternoon at earliest.

Yeah, me too. Since I'm currently drinking (on average) 4-5 cups a day, I think that could double without much of a problem though, there are definitely some days that I drink that much or more now! Though usually not the same tea all day, that might be the only problem. I like to switch it up in the afternoon from my morning tea.

A study telling me I need to drink more tea?! How do I endorse such a study?! Sign me up!

In all seriousness, Earl Grey this morning. Shocking, I know. Yesterday I had some lovely assam. I'll probably have some Tisane at some point today.

Brunch comes a full two days early this week, thanks to a 4 day work week!

Image

Today I made an omelet with baby spinach and sharp, raw milk cheddar.

If this sounds good to you, I'd suggest sauteing the spinach in butter *before* cooking up the egg. The cheese melts very nicely as a filling if you cut it into tiny cubes, but the texture of the spinach came out pretty 'raw' and had a bit of conflict with the egg. Still good.

For drinking - 2010 Spring Honorable Mention Dong Ding (Medium Roast).

I don't believe so, I could try I guess, but I'd never sleep. Ha!

Turzum Darjeeling to start the day.

More tea - no way.

First brewing of 2nd Flush 2010 Majuli CTC BOP Assam from Lochan Teas. Pleasant, but definitely an assam that is better with milk (and probably sugar;I just don't use it). Won't become a go - to Tea for me.

I think I would have a bit of trouble working more tea in. Caffeine plays a big factor in that. If they could also find a way to remove it with absolutely no change to the tea, then that would be a YES.

Sipping on some sencha now.

Seriously though, it might be hard to drink even more tea!

Starting the day with a 2004 Changtai Puerh with some wet-storage. Thick & mossy! :D
