Happy Labor Day
to those celebrating!
Welcome everyone to a Labor Day edition of TeaDay. Please stop in and share what is in your cup throughout the day.
This past weekend we discussed brewing/drinking tea from a glass, aka grandpa style. You can still vote and discuss this past weekend's topic.
Today's TeaPoll and discussion topic. A simple discussion topic, how many different teas are you currently drinking per week, on average? Please share!
I am looking forward to sharing this TeaDay with everyone. Bottoms up!

Re: Labor Day Monday TeaDay 9/6/10 Weekly tally?
Happy Labor day y'all,
Sadly, we don't celebrate it here, so I'm working.
I used to keep track of how many and what teas I drink each day. I should probably start doing that again. It's 1:18pm and I've already drank 4 different types of tea and am about to brew a 5th. I'll probably have 4 types this afternoon and after work, I'll head to my teashop and drink a bunch more varieties. Does anyone else drink like this? I probably should slow down a bit.

About three on average.
Something green today, I think, and Dragon Well would fit the bill.

Currently drinking some Bi Lo Chun, and earlier this evening I drank some Moroccan Mint with Gunpowder Green tea. I like the mint teas because it helps to settle my stomach and cleanse my palate.
I currently am fascinated with Chinese greens and oolongs, I just ordered a ton of samples from ishopo.com and I am really excited for them to get here along with my start of my gong fu set. I'm probably going to be stuck on Oolong for a while, on average though, I drink 2 different kinds of tea a day.

Re: Labor Day Monday TeaDay 9/6/10 Weekly tally?
In recent weeks I sample 2-3 different teas a day. The average in the past year was probably around 5 teas a week. I have to admit I don't want to do this anymore
I was thinking yesterday that maybe I should have a tea retreat, drink one same tea in a whole week or whole two weeks, and see how it turns out
Re: Labor Day Monday TeaDay 9/6/10 Weekly tally?
I probably average about 6 different types of tea a week. My typical day will start out with a Yunnan black, then either a sencha or oolong, and end the day with Hojicha or an herbal. And throw in white peony at least once a week as well.
Been a bit more this last week or two as I have a some Pu erh samples I have been trying.

Re: Labor Day Monday TeaDay 9/6/10 Weekly tally?
When I am at home, I average 3 teas per day, and except for the morning sencha, where the variety is limited bacause I don't want to have too many opened at the same time, that's rarely going to be the same tea two days in a row.... So probably a dozen different teas minimum. But when I travel, a lot less variety, because I may be limited to one each of puerh, oolong, and something green or white for several days on end.
Yesterday was a three tea day--not counting the close encounter with some not deliberately aged long jing, fresh dragon well, green tea guan yin, and white bud sheng puerh.

Typically 2-3 different sencha, and then a variety of maybe 3-5 other teas. I say 6 would be a good average.
Began the TD with sencha, asamushi! Excellent. SweeTea enjoyed it while Lili and Shincha were just visiting today.
Off to my parents ...

I usually drink 5 or 6 different teas each week: 2 or 3 Japanese greens, and 3 or 4 Chinese oolongs. Occasionally I'll slip in a white or yellow tea or puer.
Started the day by finishing off yesterday's pot of shui jin gui (Tea Gallery) followed by Hou de's Bei Dou No. 1. Will finish off the last of this year's YM shincha from O-Cha in a few minutes.

Happy Labor Day, also!
3 has been my average the last couple of weeks. I rotate between two different black teas (hot) and make a pitcher of iced green tea about twice a week, too.

Re: Labor Day Monday TeaDay 9/6/10 Weekly tally?
It varries widely, 3-4 most weeks, this week i hope will be a little higher (waiting on otti box) but i usually only have 1 type of tea per day, on occasion i will have two if its a long day of studying. No tea so far today, been too busy. may make some to take to work later.
