by Chip » Sep 7th, '10, 01:29

Greetings TeaFriends, welcome to another TeaDay. Please come in and share what is in your cup throughout the day.

Yesterday we discussed how many different teas we drank in the average week. You can still vote and discuss yesterday's topic.

Today's TeaPoll and discussion topic. What is your fave TeaPairing of these inanimate things? Please share.

I am looking forward to sharing this TeaDay with everyone, bottoms up.

No special TeaPairing for me. I drink tea while reading, cooking, listening to music, playing music, writing, preparing my classwork, watching TV...

Houjicha with my lunch.

Since my wife is such a fine cook, that makes me the dishwasher. I hate washing dishes. However, I hate dirty dishes more than I hate washing them, so they get washed daily...by hand. Currently there is no machine dishwasher in our house. This means that the only way I can get through the task is to be brewing and drinking tea simultaneously. It does perhaps extend the dishwashing act by a few minutes, but it's infinitely more tolerable.

Last night at dish-time I had some iron goddess brewed in a relatively new teapot. This morning, while admiring an empty and bleached sink, I sipped an organic wuyi.

Tea and TeaChat is my favorite. Tea and reading is a good thing. I usually like quiet.

Started the day with Turzum Darjeeling.

I drink tea during many activities, but my favorite is reading on my Kindle!

Tea of the moment, Uji-Sencha Miyabi from O-Cha, unfortunately paired with work :(

I'd say music would be my top pick. I always have something playing, usually my Pandora channel nowadays.

Reading, studying, and TC are other great choices as well.

Today (done with class already) I'm having a nice long session with the 2010 EoT Mansai, properly with 7g/100ml. I used ~4g the first time I tried it and was moderately impressed. Now the flavors are really jumping out at me, punchy!

What is your Pandora channel? I listen occasionally to Pandora.

I have not had the courage to go that bold with the young shengs.

Ah, I love Pandora. It really learns your preferences after a while. My current channel was started from The Antlers but now plays all kinds of music. It's like a playlist I'd make myself, only I don't have to. It also introduces me to music I've not heard before (but usually end up enjoying).

I say go for it! :D While the Kuwei will shine through much more strongly, the flavors will as well. I almost always like young Shengpu better with this amount of leaf, even with the added bitterness.
