Friday TeaDay 9/24/10 TeaShirt TeaDay!

by Chip » Sep 24th, '10, 01:15

Greetings everyone and welcome to another TeaDay. Please do drop in and share what is in your cup throughout the day.

Yesterday we discussed Japanese prefectures. You can still vote and discuss yesterday's topic.

Today's teaPoll and discussion topic. It took 5 years, but there is finally a TeaChat design for TeaShirts, etc. Members can take the file and go to any online apparel shop and have their TeaChatWare made for them.

Here is the topic: http://www.teachat.com/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=13973

Do you like the TeaShirt design and will a TeaChat original find its way into your wardobe? Please share.

Kudos to jazz88 for the design work and assistance!

I am looking forward to sharing this TeaDay with everyone, bottoms up.

I really like jazz88's design and am all in!

The design is all about tea and different ... a bit avant garde and edgy and certainly a topic of discussions. I love that it is all about what we discuss right here on the forum.

It is TeaChat!

It is also nice that we can take the free design and go anywhere with it, have anything made.

 Ooops, forgot to add the bonus vote option. You can now vote for two options. If you voted for one previously, you can add a second vote!

Looks fine, but much too busy for me to have on my person.
I am not a very stylish guy.

Image

Last evening my tea bud William wowed the tea room with frozen banana whips topped with crushed almonds and cocoa.

I served aged puerh and 'espresso roast' Tie Guan Yin to the crowd to wash it all down.

For camera fans, I did this shoot with a rented lens - Canon 24-70mm f2.8 L mid range lens. This is obviously a great (and very expensive) lens, but I do not think it is doing much to curb my love of primes. This lens is big, heavy and not *quite* as sharp as my favorite prime (50mm f/1.4)

William is moving to LA in a few weeks, so please give him a warm welcome and try a banana whip!

I LOVE this design! I just ordered a tea-shirt from Cafe Press. Can't wait for it to get here!

Iced Yi Mei Ren in my glass this morning. Yum!

A nice design (coming from a graphic designer) but I have to go with Brandon and agree that it is a little busy for me as a shirt.

I'm going to try to make my own by downloading the image and using photo iron-on paper. Wish me luck!

Started the day with Turzum Darjeeling. Oolong up next!

Cool!
When I designed it I knew that quite a few people here at TeaChat would perhaps prefer hardcore minimalist design/japanese inspired design. I didn't go that way because: a) if you want to include that much information/text you can't be minimal, just not possible b) also that would narrow down the concept of tea drinking to one specific tradition.

I have already printed the design on an off-white canvas tote bag because I prefer my t-shirts plain :) You don't have to print this necessarily on a t-shirt: it can be a messenger bag, back of a hoodie, tank top or even underwear. CafePress or Zazzle offer a wide range of products and some are surprisingly good.

I really like it but I'll only get it if I get spare money

Cool. I like what you did Jazz. Excellent design work. It is just for me, I prefer t-shirts imagery to be more simplified. In other applications it is perfect.
