I thought I posted this, but it seems to be gone, so I must not have! Here goes again (sorry if I screwed up and posted twice).
I want to try some overnight brews, but I am worried about it not being great for my yixing pots (zini, hongni, and duanni). Can anyone think of a reason why it might harm the pot or the patina?

you are supposed to take years building up the seasoning of a pot

doing it this way, it might only take months, and you might feel cheated
