2013 is Year of the Snake and it will arrive on February 4, 2013. (Note: Chinese New Year Day is on February 10, 2013
Welcome one and all to TeaDay! In a few days the Year of the Snake begins. The official Chinese New Year Day is February 10.
I was born in the Year of the Pig. Curious what Chinese Zodiac you were born under, find out here.

Then you can also share what Chinese Zodiac you were born under.
Do you see personality traits in yourself that match your sign?
So the double poll question today ... Are you a Snake and ... Will you be drinking more Chinese teas to celebrate? Please feel free to expound and tell us which tea it will be?
I am looking forward to sharing a cuppa with you. Have a great TeaDay and bottoms up!

Re: 1/30/13 Are you a Snake?
I am a Dragon, and may or may not be having Chinese tea that day. It honestly depends on my mood that day.

I'm a rat that always keeps Chinese teas on the shelf, and more are on the way!

and really no change to the tea drinking today. Lots of infusions from a really nice batch of puerh, still drinking the sweetwater ending.

Apparently I'm a rat, not sure what to think about that. I'll likely be drinking some Chinese oolong, but that's just because I'm drinking a lot of that these days.

Tiger here. Listen...Did you hear it? Yup, that's my roar
Not sure the Chinese New Year will prompt me to drink more Chinese teas. I'm having some Cha Tuo from Norbu now though. Sweet-coca-smoothness. It's kind of late for tea today but what the heck, the tiger never sleeps.

I'm a Horse, apparently, but I might take Chinese New Year as an excuse to buy some Silver Needle.

Re: 1/30/13 Are you a Snake?
I am a snake and its funny because its always been my favorite animal. Looks like this should be a good year for me. I'm a snake and a Scorpio in the Western Zodiac. Both potentially deadly animals but I wouldn't hurt a fly, what's that all about?

Metal rooster. I will celebrate at a local tea shop and drink some special puerh. May go to the cities local festival.
Re: 1/30/13 Are you a Snake?
Just discovered that a cultural organization in my town will celebrate the New Year with a dragon dance and a gong fu cha session. Might consider joining it. Also, there's a cafè/torrefaction house that sells Chinese teas somewhere in the city centre. You do learn something new every day.
