Looking for green tea with a malty and bean-like taste

by Tea Fiend » Apr 8th, '15, 18:06

Hello,
I am inexperienced in green teas, though i had drank many mediocre green teas in the past. Jasmine tea for example: hiding behind that flowery taste is a faint-bean like flavour, maybe mung-bean like. I am starting to explore more green teas now, and I would greatly appreciate some suggestions.

Lately I tried the Laoshan Green tea from Verdant. It is quite good. It has the malty and bean like taste I'm looking for.

Long ago, I also tried a Long Jing tea, a common Chinese green tea. It does have some sort of maltiness to it, but not as much of the bean taste. I'm not interested in exploring more of this style or cultivar of tea.

Lately, teaspring.com has alot of interesting green teas from spring 2015. http://www.teaspring.com/green-tea.asp (I'm not promoting any business here). Does anyone see something in that list that fits the description I'm looking for? Thanks in advanced.

Why not contact Teaspring with the contents of this post? In the past I've found them to be responsive to emails.
