Nespresso's Aeroccino for Matcha

by amatsune » Apr 21st, '15, 14:34

I searched on the chat engine and didn't pop out any results, so I'm here asking.

Has anyone here used Nespresso's Aeroccino to prepare matcha? Because I'd like to know how does it fare against a proper whisk, for now I'm really trying to take it slow on the investment since Brazil is so strict with importation rules and I'd like to actually see my purchases arrive.

My results are a maybe much too frothy matcha, but I'm not sure if thats bad or not, since I'm just getting started, and using Maiko's Uji no Sato matcha (actually bought it for culinary purposes, but my order from hibiki-an is a month late now, so drinking what I've got). I'm going to go for a more premium matcha soon, but for everyday drinking I need something that can cope taste, value, and importation fees.

Do take my situation in account before calling me a heretic.

haha! i did that years ago. i ran a little "cafe" with 2 nespresso machines in my lab and did make matcha latte. i used the round springey stirrer than the other cold mixing stirrer. the froth was nice but not as thick and creamy as using a regular whisk! after frothing one cycle with heating, top up with some full cream milk.. delicious!

Oh, thanks for the idea, I totally forgot there was another module with the machine. I will keep with just matcha though, I'm really not a fan of milk, so I only use it when I'm going for really sweet drinks, in which I add sweetened condensed milk and milk.
