College Tea newbie

by Kella » Apr 23rd, '15, 11:55

Hello everyone! My name is Kella. I discovered the joy of loose leaf tea after starting the Spring term at my college. I hope to learn about all the other types of tea besides black! I am curious about all the different types of teaware available.

Hi. I'm also into tea, also new to actually posting here.

Sometimes these places can be daunting given some people seem to know lots about different kinds of teas (two years into research and blogging I'm not so concerned about that), but it would be interesting to hear about how a tea habit develops too. Where I live (Bangkok) finding teas could be a challenge, although not so much if you know where to look, but for an Asian city of 12 million or so there aren't that many good sources.

Where do you get loose tea? Have you tried any but black? Online is the obvious place to find tea but real tea shops are all over. This site has a "tea map" section that's as good a starting point as any for finding some locally (not that I'm connected to or promoting this site, but it does). It wouldn't be helpful where I live but especially in the US it would.
