Blending it with other teas? Why would you do that?

Because I had met many, many teas whose are blended of 2 or more teas!
Yellow tea is expensive tea and blending will reduce price.

Those many, many teas probably tasted very average. If you have good tea don’t blend, if you have bad tea don’t drink it.

Is a reduced price worth the reduced taste? You are just going to ruin a good tea! Might as well buy cheap tea in the first place if you want to save money and don’t care about the taste…

Or using a different example: You could blend chocolate powder with flour, that would reduce your hot chocolate’s prize a lot!

Agreed. Quality tea should never be "diluted" with mediocre tea. If you want mediocre tea, go with that. But to take a quality tea and blend it with a cheaper tea is kind of... Blasphemous lol.

I think blending is only for better flavor
Example for Wuyi Da Hong Pao, usually we use Rou Gui with its speical rock charm and Shui Xian with its special soup feeling, as well as some other varieties, such as Huang Guan Yin with its high aroma.
