I would lie to do an 'everyday' pu erh list taking into account the relation price-quality but setting a maximum price of, let's say around $6-10 including shipping costs for each 100gr.
I will start with:
- Xiaguan Jia Ji No Box (spicy and sweet flavour)
- Xiaguan Jia Ji Boxed (honey and spicy flavour)
- Dayi V93 (I don't know how to describe it)
Re: 'Everyday' drinker list
given your price restrictions, you may not get much further than that. without the shipping, you could probably get some good shu and ok darjeeling or assam tea.
Re: 'Everyday' drinker list
You could try Dayi 7532 801.
https://world.taobao.com/item/524143894 ... hkQ#detail
Retail price c. ¥ 160 (c.f. wholesale c. ¥ 130) per cake.
It is not a sought after tea and the risk of having fake is relatively small on Taobao where you don't have to pay for extra premium as on AliExpress or other places.
IMHO (in fact it is very bias and uncompromising
), though it is not as good as Dayi Huángjīn suìyuè (黃金歲月) 2010, but it has a similar taste profile and is not that far off with only a small fraction of the price. It is definitely better than the same year 8582 801 as well as whole lot other cakes I have.

How do you go about having this shipped to the US? Is there an agent process or one you can recommend ?apache wrote:You could try Dayi 7532 801.

I used https://www.taobaoring.com/ in the past. The agent fee now stands at 8% after local shipping cost.
If you have plenty of patience and don't mind the risk of a very long wait ..., you could use the cheapest shipping method to the US. Airmail is rather expensive.
Finally I have to say I haven't done Taobao shopping for a very long time as I really have enough pu for the rest of my life.
So my information for this might be a bit out of date!

Thank you apache! I probably have plenty as well but that pricing is really nice for a 7532 with some age on it.apache wrote:I used https://www.taobaoring.com/ in the past. The agent fee now stands at 8% after local shipping cost.

it's an aprox budget, it can be increased to let's say $13-15 if the tea it's worth it..m. wrote:given your price restrictions, you may not get much further than that. without the shipping, you could probably get some good shu and ok darjeeling or assam tea.

do you now where can I find any beeng from 2010-2012?Jaymo wrote:My favorite cheap tea is Dayi 0622.
Re: 'Everyday' drinker list
I must add the Xiaguan 7543 to the daily drinkers list. I have tasted a 2012 beeng and it's a good deal for the price.

I ordered some of those bings for a friend who's new to Pu Erh and he likes the tea quite a bit:stockman wrote:do you now where can I find any beeng from 2010-2012?Jaymo wrote:My favorite cheap tea is Dayi 0622.

I'm not so sure about the vintage but I've had some good experiences with the 'Health Tea House' in the meantime and lesser teas for x times the price elsewhere.

I have a cake of this one. Really good for the price.kuánglóng wrote:I ordered some of those bings for a friend who's new to Pu Erh and he likes the tea quite a bit:stockman wrote:do you now where can I find any beeng from 2010-2012?Jaymo wrote:My favorite cheap tea is Dayi 0622.

Re: 'Everyday' drinker list
just bought 2 of those.. 10 bucks shipped for 200g of tea is pretty cheap, so it won't have to do much to exceed my expectationsstockman wrote:I have a cake of this one. Could you share your opinion of the tea? I am looking into buying it myself. Any other recommendations in general from this store by those who have used it in the past would be nice.pedant wrote:just bought 2 of those.. 10 bucks shipped for 200g of tea is pretty cheap, so it won't have to do much to exceed my expectationsstockman wrote:I have a cake of this one.
