Any value to teapots with tea names inscribed?

by Lu Feng » Feb 23rd 23 11:08 am

I have purchased part of a dubious teapot estate and would like to ask if there is any value to teapots with names of green tea types like 西湖龙井inscribed on the side of the pot. Are these commercial pots or gifts? Does anyone have a backgrounder? They tend to be green pots. Are they good for brewing tea -green tea?

It's like a mug with a company name on it... no extra value, except for the person it was meant for

It's weird, it says 'nanjing yuhua' which refers to nanjing rain flower tea. Never seen a ceramic teapot with a name of a tea crafted on it.
