Why Apple Pieces?

I've been an Adagio customer for a LOOOOONG time, and there's always been a question on my mind that I finally need an answer to.

Why are apple pieces in so many teas?

I'm not complaining! I'm just curious why they pop up, even in blends where sometimes it may seem a bit odd.

Hey there! Apple pieces lend a natural sweetness to blends without having to add any sugar :)
