Yixing Gaiwan and teapot

by Matt Tan » Nov 7th, '07, 22:36

Hi,
I am new to tea and this site.
I have a few qs.

1)May I know where can I get a good yixing gaiwan that ships internationally?

2)Does all new yixing teapot have a leave stopper as in when you pour the tea, the leaves will not go into the cup and all the leaves remains in the pot after pouring all the contents or you need a spoon to dig up all the leaves before pouring?

Thanks

You will never have to scoop the leaves out of a pot before pouring. Most Yixing pots have some sort of leaf filter built in, but I'm sure some don't as well. You can easily overcome this obstacle by simply pouring from the yixing into your cup through a mesh filter of some kind.
