Independence Day 2008...TeaDay

[Chip]

Happy Independence Day to those celebrating!

Yesterday...Green tea won the TeaPoll...by a landslide over green eggs and ham! So, it is official, Oolong won the Trifecta. Enjoy your victory oolong fans! You can still vote and discuss yesterday's topic.

Welcome to TeaDay everyone...please brew some tea and share what is in your cup this day...all day!

Simple TeaPoll and discussion topic...are you cooking out today and does tea figure into your plans?

As always, I am looking forward to sharing TeaDay with everyone...so, bottoms up, refill, repeat often...

fp.

going to see a baseball game with my family. probably will have a hot dog. maybe even have some apple pie.

Isn't today the day we all have to drink lipton?

[omegapd]

No to cooking and yes to tea. Tea is in the plans every day if I can work it out.

I'll be working this whole weekend. One of our busiest weekends. It falling on a Friday night does not help any. I figure I'll sleep some of the day away and get ready for a busy night. I think the kids and mom are going to the mother-in-laws a couple of hours away to eat watermelons and watch the fireworks. Wish it were me too...

Some Upton's Formosa Fannings Oolong in my cup this morning. It's different and won't replace my staple blacks (no Oolong will- sorry Victoria) but my recent Oolong samples are making for a very nice change of pace for me.

Happy 4th!

I had a good tea day.

I was running out of English breakfast and Russian caravan and it was payday so i bought enough tea to sink the Boston tea party. I bought 1 x Prince of Wales loose leaf and refreshed my stocks of English breakfast and Russian caravan and they where on special at the supermarket! .Also bought a teabag sampler of Lady grey,Earl grey and Orange Pekoe and Irish Breakfast.

Also i made my mum a cup of Orange Pekoe and she loved it! .My sister drinks black tea and my mum has being lukewarm about most of the teas ive gave her to try but she loves this one.She gave me a sip of hers and it was delicious.

It amazing what difference good preparation can make with tea.I've tried teas again that i thought that was watery or not very good made it properly and it was awesome.

I am not living in the USA, but tea will be a part of the day.

This morning silver needles and houjicha with my lunch.

[henley]

We're cooking out later today but tea will still be part of our day. Cinnamon rolls are in the oven & a big pot of Organic Monk's Blend is steeping.

Have a great 4th of July!

It is raining here in Indiana. Hopefully it will quit by the time our parade starts at 10. Going downtown to watch fireworks from DH's parking deck at work.

Not planning anything today, but tea will fit in somewhere! I smoked 2 chickens Wednesday and will probably make chicken salad & iced tea.

Have a fabulous day all, whever you are.

In honor of the day, we have started out with hot tea--British PGTips. By lunch time there will be iced Luzianne tea!

We're grilling out burgers, hot dogs, chicken, and steaks. We've made coleslaw, baked beans, brownies, and peach cobbler. Arriving relatives are expected to bring side dishes.

Happy 4th of July!

Smoked chicken and iced Assam! You can't beat that.

I'm ready for inTEApendence day.

Bah! I was gonna do that!

I have work today, but after that I will be heading out to a friend's place for a Cheeseburger in Paradise party. I am packing my tea and my tea gear An addict and his/her stash are rarely parted!

I may even attempt a gongfu session while out there - though that may prove VERY tricky.

Happy IT4....or whatever. Except for the fireworks and the cookout I am not much into this holiday. Although I am amused that the orchestra always plays the 1812 Overture which is a Russian song.......

In my cup: I think I will opt for Darjeeling this morning (British colony once, too)

[olivierco]

Darjeeling Phuguri FTGFOP1 to close the afternoon.
