I was preparing tea for my sister and me and she drinks the so-called "select" brand of the supermarket brand of tea which is meant to be better.
I got my twinings tea bag and looked at it and the home brand one is half the size! its tiny i think its to give the illusion of more tea in there so they can get away with putting less of the better stuff they have and charge above what they charge for the base "home brand" tea (i use that term loosely).
A total ripoff i believe!

Some of the teas I like the best are used in smaller quantities, because the smaller amounts are more appropriate for those specific teas.

I think your sister is very fortunate to have a thoughtful brother to make her tea! Use the crappy tea to make iced tea. Why not introduce her to an Adagio sampler?

I've never found them to be.......unless the twinings elsewhere is a lower standard because the stuff in Australia is pretty good and the best tea you can get from any supermarket.

Oh i understand that but this was your stock standard garden variety black tea no excuses whatsoever IMO.

Apparently they can't ship to Australia.
But i'm trying to get her off the shitty tea and give her a greater appreciation i introduced her to Twinings Irish Breakfast and she loved it so its a start.
