Hey guys....I recently purchased a glass gaiwan from www.inpursuitoftea.com andalso 2 double walled 5 ounce glasses. I was wondering if anyone had experience with a glass gaiwan and the double-walled glasses. Was it a good investment?

I have a glass gaiwan and I love it. It is a lot more durable than it looks. I've dropped the lid a few times without breaking it so far thankfully. It is my first and only gaiwan at the moment. I didn't have any problems learning how to use it or pouring from it. The lid does get a little hot some times, but it is not too bad. The best part of it is being able to watch the leaves as they steep.
the bodum pavinas are the ones that are one the website. i have a set of 12oz pavinas and had a set (now just one) of the coffee cup. i love them to death. they're supposed to be microwavable and dishwasher safe, but they're amazing for retaining heat which is perfect for slow sipped tea. they're real durable, although don't drop them.
I love the 6oz Bodum Pavinas I bought on amazon! They are a little big for tea, I think the 2oz might be better suited but might not have worked so well for single service.. It's pretty awesome to be able to hold the freshly poured tea without any discomfort. The only downside to them I've found so far is that I'm tending to neglect my beloved Hagi yunomi..
