since you are consuming the entire leaf that way. But all tea has health benefits.
I have read that White is actually higher in antioxidants, than green.
But I would have to think that was a comparison to Chinese greens.

you will enjoy the experience more and want to drink more

I agree with Victoria, don't force yourself to drink tea you don't like, all tea has health benefits. On the other hand, have you adapted you brewing methods appropriately? Green tea is generally less forgiving than black and sometimes it will take time to adjust. Also, don't dismiss green tea after having tried just one vendor's selection, there's plenty of threads on here discussing high quality vendors e.g. www.o-cha.com and www.teaspring.com .
Yeah, I agree with jack and victoria. If you don't like it don't drink it. If you just want antioxidants then why not just take matcha pills? (see www.maikotea.com) Drink tea beacause you like tea. There are other ways of finding antioxidants too like red wine.

Since I have seen no scientific data pointing to a healthiest green tea, I'd say to merely aim for green tea that you enjoy the taste of, and that it be fresh.
I'm also skeptical that matcha is the healthiest. For one thing - there are big question marks as to how much of the benefits of the matcha actually get absorbed.
I read a very interesting study recently that conveyed, if you drink some juice with vitamin C prior to sipping on tea - it will be absorbed much more readily. Not sure where the link is. If I seek it out and find it - I'll try to post it.

No offense, but everyone on here is on here because they have an abnormal love for tea and you probably just had a crappy tea improperly brewed. Personally I think http://www.hibiki-an.com/ and http://www.o-cha.com/home.php have the best Japanese Greens. If you have money, go for it. I would suggest a sencha fukamushi as there easy to brew, delicious, and not to grassy. I think you really have to drink lots of tea regularly to notice any benefits.
