I was wondering since I have the ingenuitea tea pot, about how long in the
microwave would it take to get around 180 degrees, I know they all vary but a rough estimate would be great.
You really should not be microwaving your ingenuiTea.
And yeah all micros are different, so there is no answer to that.
You should use a kettle and control the temp that way.

Howdy do..new here but had to comment..andy825 wrote:I do 2 mins on high (in the mug, not the plastic gadget). If you are trying for specific temps, the only thing to do is experiment with different times and stick a thermometer in the water when it comes out.
Or get a zojirushi and never microwave again, that's what I did.
I was looking on... some site? trying to locate my favorite mumri (OK this might be taboo around here, don't stone the red-head puleez) this evening and started the "oooooo LOOK!" when my husband walked by my desk. Yes, I had found THE ZO pot.
Husband: Uhhh keep moving..nothing to see here.
Daughter: Ooo Mom..that is what dad can get you for your birthday...
Katt: Oooo me likey...its a Zo... I want that Zo... can I have that Zo?
Husband: move along move along...
lol ... I had not seen that they made a water pot! I definitely have a leaning towards getting the electric Zojirushi kettle!
