Saturday TeaRoom 5/23/09 More and/or more different TEA?

by Chip » May 23rd, '09, 00:47

Hi everyone and welcome to a TeaRoom TeaDay. Please stop by and share what is in your cup today.

Yesterday responders picked Yunomi and Kyusu as top picks for a request from a teaware artisan. You can still vote and discuss yesterday's topic.

Today's TeaRoom poll and discussion topic. This holiday weekend, will you drink more and/or more different tea than you normally would? Please share your TeaPlans.

I am looking forward to sharing TeaDay with everyone. Bottoms up.

Likely less and/or less.

I don't think I will drink more than three teas per day this week-end, but I will drink some very good ones.

Kame Jiru Shi gyokuro this morning.

My weekend is Tuesday and Wednesday

My Olive Pit Charcoal has arrived already.

My Chaou Zhou stove has not yet arrived.

I have not acquired a decent water storage container / and I have still not decided whether to use my Charcolive for water treatement or solely for water heating.

Either which way, I intend to try many, many DanCongs

Good morning everyone! I am sooooo looking forward to this extra long weekend. It has been many moons since I have had an entire holiday weekend off!

That said, I know I can definately say More and More! 8)
Many tastings will be happening in our home over the next 60 hours.

In my cup this wonderful TeaDay, Sae Midori brewed for me by my DH!
 Matcha in one of our 'new' chawans.

Herb_master, sounds like you're gonna be busy having fun today!

Have a most enjoyable TeaDay today everyone.

Definitely more. I've got a 4-day weekend and I'm making the most of it... by sticking around my apartment and drinking tea. Well, and doing other things, too.

This morning I tried some of the 1980s CNNP shu that Nada sells. It's quite good, and probably one of the few older shus that I've had.

WhooHoo! Three-Day-Weekend!

Yes, in fact I already have Mambo black tea gracing my cup. It's fun to have enough time in the morning to select someting interesting to drink, have the time to prepare it properly, and the time to enjoy it!
Although my neighbors are all barbarians,
And you, you are a thousand miles away,
There are always two cups on my table.

More tea, and more different tea. My friends are having a tea party and we'll be tasting multiple different Adagio teas.

more and different
headed out to a new tea shop,
see what the cat brings back
“Take some more tea,” the March Hare said to Alice, very earnestly.
“I’ve had nothing yet,” Alice replied in an offended tone: “so I ca’n’t take more.”
“You mean you ca’n’t take less,” said the Hatter: “it’s very easy to take more than nothing.”

Whatever will be, will be. We are having a big family get together at my Aunt's house this afternoon. It will be great to just sit and chat with people for a while. I made a large jug of iced darjeeling with lemongrass to bring along and share, so there will definitely be lots of tea there. Otherwise, I really don't know what the other plans are for the weekend.

I decided to start the long weekend off right with a great session of fukamushi sencha supreme in my new hagi. Sadly, my camera is broken and I can't find my father's camera, but it is the one that Victoria was offering in the teaswap forum. It is absolutely fantastic. Even after two days, I can see little tiny crackles starting to form.

There should be a "No difference" answer. No different for me.
