Hi everybody, I recently got hooked on loose teas (thanks to the Kevin Rose Samovar Tea video) and need help with choosing a kettle/water boiler. I want to start brewing Gong Fu style in my bedroom (that's were I usually drink my tea). I was thinking about getting a Zojirushi water warmer/boiler and then dispensing the water into a ceramic or cast iron teapot to stay hot until use. Is that an OK idea, or will the water cool quickly? I want to get into Oolongs, Pu Erhs, and Greens. Is there an electric kettle that's better suited for this? Do they make stove top kettles with temp gauges?
Any Help Would Be Great.
Thanks.

If you seriously want to get seriously into Fenghuang DanCong Oolongs you need to get a ChaoZhou stove and Kettle.
For other Oolongs you can do a lot worse than a Kamjove kettle.

You need something you can boil water in. I would not suggest an air pot and then pouring that into something else.
IMO, a Chinese style metal electric kettle is the most practical solution. Make sure it has a good pour.

A glass or iron kettle and a hot plate is another way to go, but that's more complicated and may not be quite as fast.
